Knysna was recently named as one of the Top 100 Destinations in the World in the TripAdvisor 2008 Travellers’ Choice Destinations Awards, and it’s no wonder. This compact town, only about 280 km’s from Port Elizabeth is the perfect breakaway for visitors who will be attending the Soccer world Cup in South Africa in 2010. Far from the urban hustle and bustle, but close enough to major cities in South Africa Knysna offers overseas (and domestic) visitors the option of recharging after the excitement of the final whistle. Knysna has something for everyone, from world class cuisine to pristine white beaches the small town with a big heart can recharge even the most jaded of visitors.
